VANCOUVER, Wash. – Police are searching for two men linked to the seizure of $134,000 in drug money – the most ever seized by Vancouver police in a single day.
Officials said Laureana Valencia-Rojas and Jesus Perez-Gonzales – also known as Chewy – are the last two among more than a dozen people associated with the major drug bust, which occurred last October.
Police said the pair were involved in a West Coast drug operation that brought large quantities of marijuana, methamphetamine and cocaine from Mexico in shipments that arrived every three weeks.
Detectives made the bust after discovering a Vancouver stash house where the drugs were divvied up. The bust netted 68 pounds of dried marijuana, two 9mm handguns, including one that was stolen, and the large sum of cash.
At the stash house, police arrested more than a dozen people but Valencia-Rojas and Perez-Gonzales weren’t there.
Investigators believe the two are still involved in the drug trade but they caution that anyone who recognizes them should be careful.
Detectives said the pair have ties throughout the Northwest and are likely still in the region or continuing their drug trafficking up and down the West Coast.
